Technical overview

This analytical HPLC column is packed with a 4-nitrophenylcarbamidesilyl silica stationary phase using a (4-nitrophenyl)urea selector. The phase was constructed and optimized for analysis of cyclodextrins and related materials.

Potential application areas include parent cyclodextrins and their degradation products, residual parent cyclodextrins in modified derivatives, degradation-related components in cyclodextrin derivatives, component-distribution characterization of statistically substituted materials and determination of cyclodextrins or derivatives in drug formulations.

Actual retention, resolution and run time depend on the complete analytical system. Column selection should consider analyte chemistry, sample matrix, detector compatibility, method goals and instrument pressure capability.
